This track for choir, brass, and beat was born out of my anger. Sounds like nails hammering into the coffin of the empire, like a generational curse.

With this, I want to say one simple thing that thousands of people in the world are already talking about. The Western media write about it, Anne Applebaum said it in her text for The Atlantic, Timothy Snyder alludes to it in his speeches, and Janusz Bugajski wrote the book «Failed State» about it. Even russian fascists themselves realize this: the russian so-called «federation», as we know it now, won’t exist after the Ukrainian victory. At least I hope so.

The title is inspired by a hashtag playing off Cato the Elder's famous phrase: «Carthago delenda est» («Carthage must be destroyed»). I certainly do not propose to literally wipe russia off the map, as Cato wished for Carthage, and I do not support conservatism. I stand for a long and detailed tribunal of every russian war criminal, politician, propagandist, and supporter of the invasion of my country. The trial is good for everyone because it teaches us something important about ourselves. It teaches justice, without which there is no true freedom.

After everything russia has already done and still does to Ukraine (and to other nations it has successfully colonized) it cannot continue existing in its current form. Neither Ukraine's victory in the war, nor the end of Putin's dictatorship, nor the other imperialists coming to power will deprive russia of its colonial ambitions. As we’ve already seen, democratic reforms or the capitalist market won’t help either. Because the russian state was built as a colonial empire and remains so nowadays. It will not change if it is not dismantled.

The only solution I see is complete decolonization. Oppressed nations should decide their fate by themselves. For this, the «russian federation» must be weakened, judged, and divided. I want to see its’ end someday. The sooner, the better.

I am grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! For the fact that I can live and think about all this at all.
