The 13th release of the Pincet label, coming out in digital format and limited cassettes, is the Ternopil based project Clasps, extended play.
Under there hood there is a collection of the producer’s constantly changing moods, throughout the last year, transformed into a blend of diverse musical genres.
Satirically highlighting this diversity, Clasps presents unique genres, such as: Sludge Footwork, Shoegaze Techno, Post-Soviet Downtempo, and Funeral Eurodance.
Due to the nuanced nature presented in the moments of creation, each track is a reflection of the artist’s duality, dissonance, and decisions, that can’t squeeze itself into the stylistic borders or labels of the status quo.
The name of the release [PERRLA] was derived from an acronym used in medical eye examination; the pupillary response test - Pupils Equal Round and Reactive to Light Accommodation. By using this name, the author offers a hint into the creative force behind the project.
